Postcards for Alex

As you know, Rep. Wm. Lacy Clay (MO-1) introduced H.R. 3750 in July 2019. This is a private immigration bill that can help reunite the Garcia family and get Alex out of the confines of the church where he has been living for over two years. Later in July, Carly met with Rep. Clay in Washington, DC as part of a delegation from the National Sanctuary Collective. During their time in DC, Carly and Sara learned that members of Congress don't hear from their constituents that our families matter enough. They don't think Alex and the Garcia family have enough support for them to take action.

But they are wrong.

Rep. Clay and other elected officials need to know that Alex and Carly do not stand alone. They need to know how much this family matters to our community, so that they will be their champion and fight for private bills for all immigrants living in sanctuary, including Alex’s Law (H.R. 3750).

Send a postcard every week if you can! Be sure to let our office know that you sent a postcard - snap a picture of it and post it online, tagging @IFCLA or @AlexBelongsHere on Facebook or @stl-ifcla on Instagram (or just send us an email). Thank you!
